The Best Songs of 2024 – DJ Mix

This was one of the hardest year-end mixes to make so far, simply because there were too many great tracks to choose from in 2024. Fitting them all into one hour was an impossible task. 58 tracks *was* possible though, and this year continued the huge diversity of tempos that now make up the modern dancefloor, from slow disco to euphoric drum and bass.

I had the immense pleasure of DJing many of these tracks for different crowds all around the world – from Mardi Gras in Sydney to SXSW in Texas – and testing out the surefire dancefloor fillers, so that helped with the selection criteria as well.

Afro House is having a moment right now, so several African-tinged tracks are the perfect opener for this mix, and new albums from Fred again.., RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Charli Xcx provided plenty of great material. But standout artist of the year for me has to be Sonny Fodera. His track “Somedays” (featuring the equally standout Jazzy) is an absolute killer.
